For me, it’s obviously all about the history of programming. I grew up in the 80s, when computers were just getting going, and I realize those were real twilight years, when you think about it. We were so excited by what now would be considered pretty minimal adjustments in CPU power and operating systems, but I think that’s what kept us on our toes.
The 2000s have bred a new kind of developer, but it is an interesting time anyway. Programming is still necessary for any business, so our jobs, no matter what we think, are very safe.
Welcome to the site. It’s a lot of sound, but not as much noise as you’d think!
