I bought the Adafruit USBtinyISP kit – shipping to uk was pretty quick and it’s an easy build. Needed it to fix an arduino, not sure it would work the other way

If it was 9v centre Neg then it would work nicely with stomp box power supplies and – extrapolating somewhat – contain more mojo and hence sound better.
