Good idea Darren. We need people’s real email addresses though to invite them, so I wouldn’t want to force people to leave their email in a publicly accessible comments thread to get an invite. Comments is a good way to get in touch with people though, so we’ll use this comments thread for now. We don’t expect [...]

After our upgrade to Wordpress 3.0 we’re under a bit of a spam attack. So until we can find something that makes it less easy for human spammers to sign up and post pointlessness to the site, I’ve switched the Noisepages user signups to an invite-only system. An important part of our Noisepages development roadmap [...]

@James: Did you not read to the end of the sentence you were quoting? Let me paste the whole thing here for you, in case you managed to skip over it:
The problem has been that people assume that anything uploaded to the Internet is fair game – which is true, so long as you don’t care [...]

Veta just reminded me that the CDMo RSS feed has been broken for a while in some browsers. I use Google Reader so I never noticed that anything was wrong. It’s now fixed. Which brings me to other, server-related CDM news. If you’ve been keeping an eye on CDMusic, you may have noticed Peter mentioning our Noisepages communities recently. [...] -

Hi Veta. Thanks for bringing this up! I’m actually subscribed to the CDMo feed in Google Reader, but it seems to work fine, so I never noticed it was broken!
Sorted now.

Pretty standard, straight rock track. Some nice multi-kick sections. Plenty of snare+kick fills. Fun tom+kick fills towards the end.

“Standard” rock track. Some nice snare fills. Good ongoing kick-separation to build kick-only muscle memory. Chorus is straight, quavers on the ride with crash on each bar, and some snare/cymbal fills. Snare and Kick/Crash fill before the final verse is nice and simple, but flows in nicely. There’s some good Crash+Ride cymbal action towards the [...]

Well, don’t go throwing your V4s away quite yet. I don’t know of any video cameras which output DVI/VGA, so there’s still plenty of space in our world for the “traditional” devices. But most of the V4s I see get used for precisely this: Fading from black at the start of the set, and switching [...]

Toby*Spark initially announced the “*Spark D-Fuser” Sub-$1000 DVI mixer project 8 months ago, and followed up with some more specifics . If you Follow Toby on Twitter then you will have seen some sporadic details and titillating photos appear over the intervening months. Now, of [...]
