oi oi, anyone reading the help forum? any thoughts about the line feed after list problem?

Thanks to everyone for their patience. After digging deep into the database, managed to get WordPress MU and BuddyPress fully updated, which fixed all those nasty template problems and the inability to see groups. It seemed we had some crud in the database from early BP versions.

The next step – now I have to get forums back online; they’re being equally stubborn about getting from pre-release to the new 1.0x release, and actually refusing to connect to the database!

I did get to chat on the BuddyPress developer forum, though, and get a little better sense of where things are going. We may be able to go to internal forums entirely, which will save a lot of time. The template overhaul we’ve been waiting for is coming, too.

So the plan moving forward will be that we actually have THREE installs of noisepages:
1. live production install (you!)
2. dev install on which we test changes before rolling them out (so there’s not a mess, like this time!)
3. experimental install on which I follow the changes from the buddypress folks before they happen.
